Big thanks to everyone who helped in the recent campaign to beat the BNP in Colchester.

As many of you will know the BNP , for the first time, fielded a candidate in Colchester as they  chose to do battle in the Highwood’s Ward.

All the main parties had fielded candidates together with the Greens and an independent, who is the sitting councillor.

My first aim was to ensure the BNP in Colchester did not attract many votes. We achieved this. Of course,we in the Labour Party mainly focused on defeating the BNP.
