The new administration at Colchester Boro Council which contains Labour, Lib dem, and Independent Councillors is already delivering on its promises.

The Tories had moved the start time for concessionary fares from 9am to 9:30am causing a great deal of overcrowding and inconvenience. Weve now made it 9am til midnight as we promised during the May Election campaign. It will start from 4th August.

Labour Councillors commented, "we are delighted that the new council admistration has changed the concessionary travel start time on the buses back to 9am. Many local pensioners approached us on the subject demanding that we do something about this as it was causing a lot of unnecessary grief and anxiety to older people.

Some had even to alter medical appointments because of the change. We hope that this will make people realise that some politicians keep their promises!"

It is a credit to the new Administration that a few days into its coming into being, that the priority asked for has been delivered.
